Meet Christos
Christos is a New York City-based comedian with a résumé that spans continents and subcultures. You may have already caught him at one of our past showcases — from the Comedic Xperiences Mario Kart and Comedy Show at AniTomo Con 2025, to The Comedy Jam (bringing the Comedic Xperience Mario Kart and Comedy again to the local community) and our New York Fashion Week Show with Habits 365. If you’ve seen him, you know he brings something different to the stage.
What sets Christos apart is a genuinely global perspective. He spent a significant stretch of his career working as a salaryman in Japan — and rather than leaving that chapter behind, he leaned into it creatively. That experience became the foundation for his comedy show “Close The Door Behind You” and his podcast “Brotaku,” both of which explore the intersection of American identity, Japanese work culture, anime, and gaming with sharp, lived-in humor.
A New Arc: The Gaming Tournament Comedy Show
Christos’s love for anime and gaming has always been central to his voice — and now it’s taking center stage in a whole new format.
Starting April 9th at 8PM, Christos is hosting a gaming tournament comedy show at Eastville Comedy Club, located just off Flatbush Ave near Atlantic Center in Brooklyn. So he called ComedicX to help get the word out!
Holding down hosting duties for the night is Feranmi, founder of the Flatbush Comedy Festival and the creative force behind Comedic Xperiences. Together, Christos and Feranmi are bringing a competitive, couch-energy edge to the traditional comedy club format — think hype, trash talk, and punchlines, all under one roof.
The event is sponsored by a takoyaki van and features prize money on the line for competitors. Yes, Super Smash Bros is in the house.
